Advancing Communities for Youth (ACY) Program

PASE announces awards of $240,000 and tailored technical assistance (totaling 460 hours) to 20 agencies that were selected for the PASE Advancing Communities for Youth (ACY) Program.

In January 2010, PASE released an RFP for our Advancing Communities for Youth (ACY) Program. Through a half-million dollar grant from the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services (OCS), funded through the Compassion Capital Fund PASE will deliver free capacity building services through the provision of training, technical assistance, and 20 sub-awards up to $15,000 each. With this grant, PASE is assisting faith-based and community organizations (FBCOs) with capacity building activities in four critical areas: 1) leadership development, 2) organizational development, 3) program development, and 4) community engagement. Capacity building activities will increase the sustainability and effectiveness of these organizations, enhance their ability to provide social services, and create collaborations to better serve at-risk youth.

In the first phase of the RFP process, PASE, in partnership with TCC Group (www.tccgrp.com), provided 60 agencies with free access to TCC Group's comprehensive Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT) and assistance in interpreting their CCAT report. In the second phase of the RFP process, PASE selected 20 of the 60 agencies to receive sub-awards and tailored technical assistance.
